Our Story
This business didn’t start in a boardroom — it started in the field. By age nine, founder Craig Frasco was working alongside his father, learning the fundamentals of framing and finish carpentry. By fifteen, he was forming concrete and setting deck foundations. Through college, he balanced textbooks with toolbelts, managing renovations and collaborating with tradesmen across disciplines.
At twenty-eight, Craig became a full-time carpenter. At thirty-two, he moved into project management and field supervision, guiding high-value home remodels from concept to completion. By thirty-six, he founded CRAIG design build, LLC, gaining a reputation for detailed craftsmanship and reliable timelines. In 2024, he brought that expertise to Charleston, launching Smokestack & Steeple Builders to deliver architecturally disciplined renovations that honor the city’s heritage while meeting modern needs.
