Our Story
Craig Frasco’s story in construction began at nine years old with a hammer in hand, learning the trade the way it was meant to be taught — by doing. From carrying lumber and forming concrete as a teenager to framing full renovations through college, Craig’s foundation was built on sweat, discipline, and tradition. By his late twenties he was running projects as a carpenter and field supervisor, trusted to coordinate trades and keep demanding jobs on schedule. In 2020, Craig founded CRAIG design build with a focus on implementing the strength of his core values: presence, precision, and honesty. In 2024, he brought that experience south to Charleston to create Smokestack & Steeple Builders — a company rooted in Lowcountry heritage, guided by modern building science, and dedicated to craftsmanship done right. Today, every project carries the weight of that journey, delivered on time, within budget, and worthy of the Charleston homes it serves.
